USL Sport Premium Edge E.A.B is produced using the leading KOB range of fabric. The fabric is 100% cotton with an excellent adhesive quality. The stretch capability and conformability make this product excellent for providing additional compression and support. The Edge E.A.B range is ideal for use in conjunction with the range of USL Sports Premium Rigid Tapes.
Tapes are to be kept in cool, dry areas below 25ºC to minimize any possible adverse reaction.
Always consult with a healthcare professional for the correct application of this product.
Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free of oils
Do not apply tape to broken or irritated skin. Instead, cover such areas with a non-stick wound pad or under wrap
EAB can be left on for up to 2 days, however it should be removed immediately after physical activity or sport
Warning: This product contains adhesive, which may cause a reaction in people sensitive to adhesives. To avoid circulation issues, do not apply too tightly. If you experience numbness or tingling remove the bandage immediately and re-apply with reduced tension.
Both EAB and Lite EAB are Elastic Adhesive Bandage - flexible, stretchable tape that adheres to the skin and provides compression and support.
EAB uses a thicker cotton making it more rigid and ideal for structured taping. The higher tensile strength does mean that you'll require scissors to cut.
EAB Lite as the name suggests is a lighter weight material, that tears by hand. It has a "crinkled" texture. This is the most commonly used tape in Rugby, and is used and known as Lifting Tape.
EAB can be purchased in 4 widths - 2.5cm, 5cm, 7.5cm and 10cm. There is no right or wrong size to use; however, the following sizes are most effective when used on these areas
We advise consulting your healthcare professional before application to ensure proper use. After receiving guidance, EAB can be easily self-applied.
Store EAB in a dry area below 30 degrees.
EAB is generally suitable for most people; however, it should be used with caution by those who have an allergy to adhesives as reactions may occur. It is also contraindicated for those with open wounds, infections, or fragile skin prone to damage, as improper use could lead to irritation. We recommend consulting with a Healthcare practioner prior to using.
